As we’ve seen Abram’s faith in the Lord continue to grow, this week we see God commit Himself to Abram in a new way: through a covenant. Generally, a covenant is enacted with 2 people who agree to uphold their end of the covenant, but this one is unique because only one person takes the penalty for this one. Join us Sunday to find out the significance of that act in Genesis 15!

One of the things we’ve already seen in our study of Father Abraham is that care for the stranger and sojourner is the call for those who follow God. We have the command to do what we can to care for our neighbors, which includes anyone in close proximity to us (Luke 10). A local ministry that seeks to care for some of the least of these is Arrive Ministries, and they have some urgent needs as the funding for them has been stopped.  Paper Grocery Bags with handles and in good condition are also needed.
