SERMON PREVIEW
We’re kicking off our Fall series this week titled ‘Holy Living in the Household of God’ which will be a study through the book of 1 Timothy. This week we’ll be looking at the background, why we’re studying this now, and the main theme of the letter (any guesses what it is?). We have a limited number of Scripture journals available for this series. Join us Sunday as we begin our study of 1 Timothy!
We hope you will join us in person on Sunday at 10:30 AM or watch online.

NEW SONG
This Sunday we will introduce a new song called "Rejoice." You can listen to it HERE.
This call to worship, inspired by Philippians 4, speaks directly to the challenges of our time, especially the common struggle with anxiety. Paul's exhortation to "rejoice in the Lord always" is not a shallow call to optimism; it is a radical invitation to rejoice not necessarily in our circumstances but in the unshakable goodness of the Lord In every season, in every trial he is near - and that changes everything.

FOOD SHELF
We can reach out in Jesus’ name to our neighbors by bringing food, personal care and household items to our collection shelves in the Atrium. These items are then delivered to Apple Valley’s only food shelf, located at nearby Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. This volunteer-run ministry depends entirely on donations to serve local families and individuals throughout the year. Our contributions help meet the needs of so many in our community! Let’s help them start the school year with practical help to bridge difficult times.
September’s Most Wanted: Nut Butter & Jelly/Jam; Canned Meat, Canned Fish; Cooking Oil; Flour (Wheat, Corn, GF); Fruit Cups, Fruit Pouches for kids; Juice Boxes; Baby Wipes; Surface Cleaning Products. Healthy choices are welcome!
Thank you for remembering that donations must be nonperishable store-bought items, unopened, with current dates. Please drop off at our collection shelves in the Atrium. Paper Grocery Bags with handles and in good condition are also helpful and appreciated.

FALL WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Ladies - Join us for Bible Study this fall!
- God of Covenant - Genesis 12-50
- Friday Mornings at South Suburban from 9:30 -11:30 AM
- September 12 - November 14
In this 10 session study of Genesis 12-50, Jen Wilkin walks through the stories of the fathers of our faith - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. These image bearers sin and struggle to trust the One who will fulfill every one of His promises and for whom nothing is impossible. Yet our God of Covenant continues to work all things out for His glory and their good. We will see Jesus in each of these stories and remember once again that the God of Creation and Covenant is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Use the button below to register. Questions? See Tami Peterson.
