SERMON PREVIEW
We only have 2 more angry men to study! This week, we’re looking at Zechariah, which has been the most difficult book for me to interpret. Zechariah prophesied at the same time as Haggai, and contains elements of apocalyptic literature, history, and oracles, all leading to the reminder that God is in control. Join us Sunday as we study our eleventh angry man!
We hope you will join us in person on Sunday at 10:30 AM or watch online.

NEW SONG
This week we will be singing a new song called "Hear the Hallelujahs Roar" This song serves a call to fix our eyes on the future return of Christ and reminds us of what that day will bring for those who put their trust in Christ. We encourage you to listen to the song before service on Sunday so that we can lift our voices together.

FOOD SHELF
God has been using your generous donations to help our neighbors in need! In 2025 we contributed 841 pounds of food and other supplies to Apple Valley’s only food shelf, located at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Your kindness helps make a real difference by helping local individuals and families get through tough times with the support they need. And the needs continue.
April’s Most Wanted: Nut Butter (28 oz. or less); Soup; Pasta Sauce; Hard Taco Shells; Flavored Oatmeal; Baking Mixes (Muffin, Cookie, Brownie); Baby Wipes. Other household and food staples are also useful and appreciated.
Healthy options are welcome!
Thank you for remembering that donations must be nonperishable store-bought items, unopened, with current dates. Please drop off at our collection shelves in the Atrium. Paper Grocery Bags with handles and in good condition are also helpful and appreciated.
Are you in need of food? Please find more information at our collection shelves in the Atrium.

BOOK DISCUSSION
Ladies, Can you name all Ten Commandments? Do you know their role in your life as a follower of Jesus? I invite you to join me as we study the book Ten Words to Live By, by Jen Wilkin.
She “presents a fresh biblical look at the Ten Commandments, showing how they come to bear on our lives today as we seek to love God and others, to live in joyful freedom, and to long for that future day when God will be rightly worshiped for eternity. Learn to see the law of God as a feast for your famished soul, open to anyone who calls on the name of the Lord.”
We will meet four Monday evenings from 6:30-8 PM on May 4 & 18 and June 1 & 15. You will need to read three chapters of the book before each meeting. No other homework – just discussion questions.
Questions? Contact Tami Peterson (tami@ssefc.org).
