We’ve seen a progression through the Psalms this summer from mourning to celebration. This week begins a new progression where we’re reminded that our God is a mighty fortress from Psalm 46. This Psalm was the inspiration for Martin Luther’s hymn, "Ein’ feste Burg” which was translated into English as “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” It serves as a reminder of God’s protection for His people regardless of their life circumstances.
