As we’ve seen Abram’s faith in the Lord continue to grow, this week we see God commit Himself to Abram in a new way: through a covenant. Generally, a covenant is enacted with 2 people who agree to uphold their end of the covenant, but this one is unique because only one person takes the penalty for this one.
